Dr Stephanie Wallwork is a dual-trained clinical and laboratory Haematologist. Dr Wallwork graduated with honours from the University of Queensland and then underwent physician and specialist haematology training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. In 2021, Dr Wallwork was awarded the Eva Raik Memorial Prize for achieving the highest result in the RCPA haematology specialist examinations.
Dr Wallwork grew up in Toowoomba and has recently returned home with a focus and passion for providing high-quality care to rural and regional patients. She has experience in the management of all haematological malignancies, including lymphoma, leukaemia, multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative diseases and myelodysplastic syndromes. She is also skilled in the management of bleeding and clotting disorders and the investigation of undifferentiated full blood count abnormalities.
Dr Wallwork is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). She is also a member of several leading cancer trial and research groups including the Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group (ALLG) and Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ).
